New Project and Reflections

TUTOR x RING

It's been a week since I've submitted a one-shot for the KMA contest thing, and I've decided on my next project. Maybe I can take this one from idea to full fledged book haha. Many ideas have tried, and have fallen short...maybe this will be the one to succeed.

It will be an EXTREME SPORTS type of story. There will hopefully be a lot of action, a lot of intensity, and a lot of emotions. There will be wins, and failures.

Think...Blue Lock meets Teaching....hahahaha

But yeah. That's the story idea. I have a ROUGH ROUGH outline for chapter 1, and initial ideas for how I want the main character to look. I think I'll have fun writing this story.

I'll probably start doing thumbnails for it next week. Going to spend time this upcoming week writing out the story. I have the beginning, middle, and end already written, but I need to come up with dialogue, character personalities and stuff before I start drawing. In time though. Going to take my time with this...no hard deadlines...no "I need to have X amount of pages before X". Just a thing I work on as a hobby, in my free time, maximum fun.

Appreciations and Realizations

During this break from drawing and as a continuation from my last blog post, I'm realizing I am okay with just making the book. I would like people to read my work, but I think the ultimate satisfaction will come from having a tankobon in my hand. So, that's the new goal. Not followers, not getting readers...but finishing a book.

I'm seeing interesting websites where people have just been documenting their journies of making stuff and being creative, and I think that's the path I want to go on...not become famous, get serialized, or get a book deal. Just want to document my process, and look back, and see my own growth...and make cool stuff along the way, you know?
